In a condensing boiler, a condenser claws back much of the lost heat because as steam condenses into water, it feeds heat back into the system. This can increase overall efficiency from 75% to as
How much a boiler should cost. Average costs and comments from CostHelper's team of professional journalists and community of users. Installing a standard boiler (80%-85% annual fuel utilization efficiency) typically costs about $2,500-$5,000 for a gas-fired model and $3,000-$6,500 for an oil-fired unit (generally used in areas without municipal gas lines).
A boiler to make the steam and a condenser to cool the steam & collect the alcohol. Condensers are cooled by cold tap water running through tubes & cooling jackets around the condenser steam chambers. The boiler constantly boils the liquid mixture (which is called the “wash” to provide steam or vapour for the condenser.
The price of a condensing boiler is dependent on several elements. Things such as the fuel type, efficiency rating, brand, and added features means the final price can vary greatly. Condensing boilers, just like other boilers, have a lot of variability. The majority cost from around £500 to £3,700, depending on the factors mentioned above.
